Collection: EULOGY : WORKS BY TYLER MORGAN

Bold Acrylic figurative works from Pomona Artist Tyler Morgan, also known as "Van Gotti."  "This body of work depicts a decision to leave —to put to death, or to eulogize old patterns, behaviors. The artist is influenced and driven by his spiritual beliefs.  Morgan,  who grew up in Pomona, California was raised in an Indian and southern family who regularly attended church. His art voyage began utilizing a pencil, an eraser, “ magazines, and a came with a dream to be a lawyer. Soon shedding his dreams of a carrer in law, Tyler began to more fully appreciate his cultural roots. Tyler finally encountered the author of his story, Jesus Christ and his art began to hold the weight and sincerity of his testimony. Faces and hands in Tyler's paintings can be seen throughout his entire body of work. The melancholic faces (self portraits) he paints look upward, symbolizing strength, hope and peace amidst the storm clouds of life.
